Makeup That Face

Makeup That Face

On Applying Foundation and Concealer: Foundation and concealer can give you a more polished look. By reading this article, you can learn to apply foundation and concealer with expertise. It's recommended that you get comfortable using your hands for applying makeup because you'll be more comfortable with your face by doing so. You will acquire a naturalness of face, getting a well blended look with makeup. When professional makeup artists apply makeup tricks, they use their hands to do all kinds of things with makeup. Petroleum jelly or lip balm is often used to change the texture of makeup.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT FOUNDATION: With well over 50 selections of color and many varieties or types of foundations, choosing the right foundation may be a little bit daunting. If you have oily skin, use water-based or oil-free foundation. For dry skin, you'll want liquid or rich cream foundation.
Foundation is supposed to look invisible when applied. Test foundation by applying just near jawline and notice how well blended it is. You want your foundation to be invisible and well blended.
Many women try to test foundation color by the back of hands or cheeks. The color of both those areas is often darker than the jawline.
Women of color should apply foundations containing yellow undertones because of the yellow pigments with their skin. Oil-free formulations are right for darker skin that reflects more light and is often more oily.
APPLICATION OF FOUNDATION: First moisturize your face and let the moisturizer get absorbed. This will keep the foundation right on top of your skin.
Next, apply foundation and blend quickly.
Finally, set it by dabbing a brush with powder, making circular strokes with the powder across your face. Be careful about dusting with too much powder because a matted face can look very dated.
TIP: Add a little bit of moisturizer to long-wearing foundations.
Gently dab onto areas around the eyes and mouth so that foundation won't be too drying.
FOUNDATION TIPS: Dab foundation on face with a finger or light sponge.
That should help give you a luminous, yet natural look.
To get a dewy finish, take witch hazel and moisten cotton balls or a wash cloth or a gauze pad with this astringent and gently dab your  face after it's made up. This will remove a matte look from makeup and leave your skin looking radiant.
When applying foundation, open your mouth so that your neck area is exposed and you see your jawline and neck to apply foundation on so as to avoid obvious lines.
Keep two different shades of foundation on your dressing table.
One for winter, the other for the summer season. If mixed together, you can match the color perfectly.
After applying foundation, dab your face with a kleenex. Blend your makeup together to soften the look.
CONCEALER: Concealer can create flawless skin by hiding imperfections. Use a soft, flat brush or your fingertips to gently dab on concealer. Whoever has minor imperfections can benefit from concealer.
TIP: You should apply concealer on your entire undereye area as well as the outside of your eyes for a more wide eyed look. This will give your eyes a lift. The outside area of the eyes can be prone to dryness and redness.
Liquid concealer is recommended for concealing larger areas such as circles under the eyes.
Solid concealer is considered necessary for hiding scars, pimples, bruises.
Cream to Powder foundation provides a natural looking concealer.
Make sure it's matched to the color of the cream or liquid foundation that you are applying.
TIP: When applying solid or liquid foundation, use concealer afterward.
When applying cream to powder foundation, apply concealer first.
